Ollin Yoliztli Calmecac (translated as "School of Blood Moving in the Heart" in Nahuatl) is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the indigenous Mesoamerican culture that flourished before the arrival of the Europeans in 1492. It was founded by multidisciplinary, self-taught Mexican immigrant artists, Brujo de la Mancha and Daniel Chico Lorenzo in 2003. OYC is recruiting Board Members to support its vital work.
Responsibilities of Board Members include regularly attending board meetings and programs, either in person, virtually, or via telephone; making a serious commitment to participate actively in committee and board work; volunteering for and willingly accepting assignments and completing them thoroughly and on time; and other responsibilities.
Although people of all backgrounds may apply for this position, individuals with indigenous or Native American heritage are strongly encouraged to seek this position.
